Creative Minds in Dialogue: C.G. Jung and Erich Neumann
Notice: Booking will open on 15th January 2025
This lecture will explore the relationship between C. G. Jung and Erich Neumann. In 1933 Erich Neumann decided to leave Germany for Palestine, foreseeing what was emerging in his country of birth. He stopped in Zurich to work with C. G. Jung. Neumann and Jung, with a 30-year age difference, became close colleagues and good friends that lasted to the end of their lives. Their periodic meetings and frequent communication began with Neumann’s honest and direct challenge to Jung’s early missteps regarding National Socialism and later developed into their life-long interest and discussions of evil and the nature of consciousness.
